Inspection Lookup is operated by ShowerPower Labs LLP ("we"). This page says what we collect and why.

On this website

We use two analytics tools to see how the site is used, and Cloudflare to deliver and protect it. We don't run ads and we don't sell data.

• Google Analytics 4. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) in your browser. It records the pages you view, your approximate location, your device and browser, and the site that sent you here. It also records a few events: search (how long the search was and how many results it returned, not what you typed), watch_signup, checkout_click (which plan) and contact_submit (the topic). Events carry no name, email address or other personal data. We anonymise IP addresses and turn off Google signals and ad personalisation.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and page speed without cookies.
• Cloudflare also serves the site as a content delivery network and blocks abuse, so your requests pass through its servers.
• Our own server keeps standard request logs (IP address, page, time) for up to 30 days to keep the site running and stop abuse.

We use analytics to understand which pages and tools people use, so we can improve them. To opt out, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

Watching a building

If you watch a building, we keep your email address and the buildings you watch until you unsubscribe. We email you once to confirm; if you don't confirm within 7 days we delete the address. Every alert has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all alerts at once. Our email delivery provider handles the address only to send these emails.

When you buy

• Dodo Payments processes payment as merchant of record. We receive your name, email, billing country and what you bought. We never see your card number.
• We use your email to deliver the list or report, send receipts and answer you.

Building data

Building, device and violation data is public record from NYC Open Data. Owner and agent names come from public HPD and ECB records and appear only in paid lists and reports.
